1. Prep & Protect

Before the real work begins, we take the time to fully cover any space that isn't being refinished. We protect walls, flooring, fixtures and any surface or item near the work area to prevent splashing onto it. This pre-work is one of the reasons why we're able to leave your bathroom as clean as we found it.

2. Clean

Next, we'll remove all the hardware from the tub and shower, such as faucets, shower heads, drains and so forth. We can then proceed with a full cleaning of the tub to ensure we're working with a clean surface.

3. Repair

Repairing the tub is an essential step. We'll fill in small cracks and holes, smooth out chips and buff any scratches to make the surface even again.

4. Resurface

The glazing process won't take effect properly if the surface isn't prepped to receive the product. During this step we will rough and etch the surface to help the product fully adhere when it's applied.

5. Prime & Coat

Finally, the fun part comes! We'll vaccuum and wipe up any debris before painting. Then, using top of the line commercial products and a superior application technique, we will reglaze the top layer of the tub to bring back its like-new sheen again!

How long does reglazing last?

How long a bathtub refinishing process lasts on your tub, will depend on the following factors:

The quality of the work performed
The quality of the commercial glazing products used
The time allowed to settle
The level of daily use of your fixture

If our work is allowed to fully dry and set, with normal use, we find that tubs we've worked on can last up to 10-15 years. Obviously this varies by property, but typically you'll get a good decade out of the service.
