Cabinet Refinishing Tampa

Refresh those old cabinets without the high cost of replacement. We can resurface the boxes and doors for a whole new style with our cabinet refinishing Tampa services.

When you have kitchen or bathroom cabinets that are still in great shape, but feel outdated, cabinet resurfacing is an excellent option to renew them at a tremendous cost savings. Buying all new cabinets is very expensive when you consider the cost of the product itself plus the good deal of labor needed to demo, deliver, measure and install.

On the other hand, restoring your existing cabinets cuts the cost by eliminating the need for entirely new cabinetry, demolition labor, delivery fees and installation labor. You’ll save a ton on your kitchen or bath remodeling budget and get your room back faster too!

What is cabinet resurfacing?

Cabinet resurfacing is the process of stripping the existing finish on the surface of your cupboards, such as the wood stain or lacre, and replacing it with a new coat of paint or stain. Refinishing your existing cabinetry allows you to change the tone and color to give your kitchen or bathroom a makeover.

Our refinishing process is performed on the “boxes” and doors of your cabinets.

We strip the old finish off your current cupboards and start fresh with a new coat of stain or paint. Not only do we utilize the highest quality paint, we also use professional spraying equipment to get the most even finish possible. It takes a lot of skill, experience and labor to do it right so that it can withstand daily use, but it’s far more affordable than replacing the entire cabinet unit from scratch.

What you’ll love about our overall process is that you get the “look” of brand new cabinet, but at a small slice of the cost because we refinish the existing frames and doors. This means a new cabinet style without demo, installation or ordering brand new cabinetry. The process is faster and less expensive, yet has all the perks of getting new cabinets.

What is the difference between cabinet refacing and refinishing?

Refacing refers to the process of replacing old doors and hardware with new ones. You select new cabinet doors, handles and hinges in the style of your liking and we’ll install them professionally. Cabinet refacing allows you to create an entirely new look for your cabinets without the cost of total replacement, which would involve the added costs of demolition and installation not to mention the cost of full cabinet frames.

Our Cabinet Resurfacing Process

Step 1 - Prep, Clean & Strip Cabinet Frames and Doors

Before we begin, we’ll fully cover and protect exposed surfaces in your kitchen or bath to prevent splash damage. Then, the first phase of your cabinet resurfacing process begins with cleaning the wooden cupboard frames and doors, then stripping all finishes from the surface. This allows new paint or stain to adhere to the surface and keeps the final result smooth and professional looking.

Step 2 - Refinish the Outside Cabinet Doors

Starting with the exposed side of the cabinet doors that are visible when cabinets are closed, we’ll professionally spray paint the entire surface and allow it to dry and set fully before touching again.

Step 3 - Refinish the Cabinet Boxes

Once we are working with a clean, product-free surface, we can start applying a new coat of paint or stain, depending on the style you’ve decided on.

We’ll ensure all surfaces of the room are covered and protected before we begin work. Using the leading commercial paint products and top of the line professional equipment, we’ll carefully and evenly apply a new finish to your existing cabinet frames. When we’re done, it will practically look like they are new, straight from the factory.

Step 4 - Refinish the Interior Cabinet Doors

While waiting for the cabinet frames to dry, we’ll move onto the hidden side of the cupboard doors; the part that is only seen when the doors are open. This creates a seamless finish throughout so that your cabinets all match in color inside and out.
